What should I do about a former best friend flirting with my boyfriend?

I've been dating my boyfriend for almost 2 years. When I first met him my best friend was dating his best friend, and that's how we met. Double dating was fun and everything. Let's say my best friend was kind of let's say a 'flirt' and cheated on his best friend and they broke up. My boyfriend and I started dating then she started sending him messages saying he's handsome, and she loves him and silly stuff like that. I've talked to my boyfriend about it and he knows it bothers me but he will still talk to her. I don't care that they are friends, im happy they're friends but there is a certain way to talk to a guy in a relationship and that's not it. She is naturally a flirty girl and I don't know if she is hitting on him or just being herself. Currently she and I aren't talking anymore and kind of grew apart. This flirting has been going on for over a year now and it's really getting to me, I'm not worried about him cheating on my or anything it's just annoying. What should I do? any advice :)

Tell her to stop. It is unacceptable. That is it. My husband and I dated in high school and there is this girl we both knew back then that seems to think it is okay to leave him little messages like'; hey sexy'; and crap like that. It is not okay.
